Corroded Navigation Lights

Boats have navigation lights… green and red lights that tell other boats which way you are headed.  The green is on the right or starboard side of the front of the boat and the red is on the left or port side.  So depending on which color you see, or if you see both, you can determine if the boat is coming straight at you, or passing to your left or right.

Our Navigation lights went out during our crossing from Rhode Island to North Carolina, and they needed to be replaced before we went anywhere at night.

When Stephen opened the navigation lights up to see why they weren't working, they were completely corroded.

Watch the video to see how he installed new navigation lights.
